Hometown: New Bark Town, Johto

After defeating the Johto league, Lyon decides to travel to Paldea after learning about Victory Road, a challenge to compete against the Paldea league for the chance to become Champion rank. This will bring him one step closer to become the greatest Pokémon trainer in the world. Together with his new partner, Quaxly, and his team of Johtonian Pokémon, he enrolls into Uvanaranja Academy to learn the ins and outs of the vast region of Paldea to help him succeed. Together with his new friends, Mallory and Shawno, will he be able to defeat the 8 Gyms of Paldea and become Champion?

Ruin Maniac

Hometown: Laverre City, Kalos

An aspiring Pokemon archaeologist, Mallory travels to Paldea and enrolls into Uvanaranja Academy to participate in research, such as the academy’s annual “Treasure Hunt.” There she learns from a fellow student, Arven, about the Path of Legends, a quest to find extremely rare “Herba Mystica” and the mystery surrounding them. She teams up with Lyon and Shawno, as well as her partner Pokémon, Sprigatito, to help find the giant titan Pokémon guarding the Herba Mystica and learn more about the archaeology and ecology of Paldea.

Shawno

Gym Leader

Hometown: Ballonlea, Galar

Taking over as the new Fairy-Type Gym Leader of the Galarian Pokémon league, Shawno decides to take time off to travel and learn all there is to know about Fairy Pokémon across the world, as well as what it takes to become a great Gym Leader. He does this by enrolling in Uvanaranja Academy and training with expert Paldean trainers and leaders alike. However, he soon learns about Team Star, a group of delinquents terrorizing the region. He and his new partner, Fuecoco, set out with Lyon and Mallory to help battle and disband Team Star, and hopefully grow his reputation as a great Gym Leader.

As a Ruin Maniac, Rock, Ground and Steel-type Pokemon should be used
Pokemon based around history and archaeological findings may also be used

Lyon | Victory Road

Defeat the eight Gym Leaders and become a Champion of Paldea

As a native and representative of the Johto region, only Pokemon in the Johtonian Pokedex may be used
Regional variants and cross-generational evolutions permitted

Shawno | Starfall Street

Main Objective

Defeat the five leaders of Team Star

As a current fairy-type gym leader, it is imperative to continue to refine skills through the use of exclusively Fairy-type Pokémon
Pokémon with Fairy tera-typing will also be permitted.
